Road America is a hoot and absolutely beautiful. Stupid gearing really hamstrung me but wasn’t DFL so I’m good. Wife had a decent time and the 14 month old puppy was amazing. She had a ball and is such a fantastic rider. 5-6 hours without a peep.

car drove awesome. Dropped 4 seconds through the weekend before the rain hit. Rain was more funner
That facility is top shelf. The course is amazing.

So what cars finished top 3 in your class?
And where would a Chevy Cruze fall, because this just sounds like a hell of a good time.
So 9 cars, one Rio, one Mazda 2 and one fiesta and 6 fits. Fits were top 5, fiesta 6, me 7 and a fit and the 2 rounding out the field.

sundae cup is a power to weight class based off the us first gen fit. 25:1 published numbers, 22:1 off dyno. My car is over powered but it’s offset by horrific gearing. 2nd gear ends at just under 60, 3rd is 95. 3rd starts to come into the power around 75-ish so there is an almost turbo lag feeling up shifting. 4th is 115. 5th is supposed to hit 117-118 before aero stops the progress.

no turbos all na and all cars are on a 205 width falken tire 200tw minimum.

Edit: what was fun at RA is those long straights. The fits had me by 5-10mph in mid-corner speeds. But I’d have them 5-10mph by the end of the straights abs reeling them in fast.

I seriously wish I knew where a manual fit or decent hatch was for sale cheap. Would really be tempted to give this a shot.

A great platform that IS easy to find would be a 2nd gen Rio sx5-dr or a 3rd gen accent 2dr hatch. Those are basically the same car one has 2 more doors. The 1.6L alpha engine only made 110hp butnit had a fantastic midrange with actual torque. Weighs about 2400lbs.

    S.E. of disorder
Bitter sweet day here at ATP racing.
The S/S has been moved to another shop. A long time friend owns the shop and I sent it his way from trust and I know he will do well by the car. I will still be involved as some of the things to be done he will need my input on.
But it is still a sadness.

Sorry to see this happen. We went down to the Louisville swap meet this morning and wandered around for a little while. They had a Mousemobile sitting there that I am ashamed to say I was unable to get a picture of; a '65 Belair 2 door post, 427 4 spd, stripper. Nothing about this car that wasn't necessary to make it go. Sweet car with at least a decent level of restoration for 37,500. Silver with a black interior.

Standing there staring at it I could imagine Sir Mouse at the local A&W listening to the kids talk about how badass their slant 6 Valiant's were compared to his "grandma's" car. Teehee!!
