Yup. Extra work is always slow this time of the year. I am really less sad than I thought I would be.

On a diff. note we are loading your short block in the truck tomorrow as it will not be raining.
Should be at the machine shop Monday morning.

Sweet. Had a convo with the boss and sounds like I’ve got permission to at least wrap up the engine.

Well, I grew up with the clor and 1911's so go figure...:):

Seriously......Black/blue/Orange your call. We just want to get it prepped.

Bearings and gaskets aren’t terribly expensive. The pistons I’m looking at are a little spendy but they’re forged and they come with rings. Valvesprings, pushrods, and rocker arms. I don’t think I’m too far off from a complete long block.

Late getting current pictures posted. The engine is together and ready to go back in, I am hoping it goes back in this week. I need to do some touching up of the engine compartment while out.

    Good question.....

Pontiac blue might fool some people that aren’t as familiar with the old school stuff.

Worked on CP's block. Gaskets stripped/fuel pump plate off/main caps back on and torqued. Ready for the tank.

Did not get it in the truck today. No help. Tomorrow it gets loaded up for Tuesday delivery.
