I've worked on some of that Brit Stuff. Some of the US engines have some fun stuff to. Essex 6, pistons have to come out the bottom. The Big End on the Rod is larger than the Bore.

I have re-built/restored 2 old Offy's and they are a real trip. Buddy has some old sprint cars in various stages of restoration.
The tools alone are crazy hard to find.

This is off a 400CI base...???
If so that is a stroker.

What cam or have you gotten that far. With that kind of stroke keep the RPM's manageable.
Yes sir off my 400 block. Can actually stroke it to 495ci. Haven’t really got to the cam part yet, it’ll be awhile till we get to that. I have to save for this stroker kit. I’m kind of getting off the RPM thing, realistically it won’t see over 6000 anyway..

With those long arms you will not need to turn it up much past that anyway. Strokers make it low and fast.

OK. Just spent the better part of an hour gathering info/pricing on the next step.
    OD stand alone ECU.
Nitrous kit. 200 HP plate system.
    OD auto shifter.

    Getting closer and closer.

    Nothing serious I hope

Yeah it is really serious but I will share when I have all the proper info.

I laid out the rear engine plate for the BB chev. yesterday and used the mill to drill the mounting bolt/pin holes.
Buddy will pick it up today and finish roughing it out and fit it up to the car. I also spun up the converter spacers.
We are making a hiem joint adjustable rod to keep the engine located as to front/back once it is in the car.
I am pretty pleased as to how it all turned out.

I hope the best in the serious thing....

I got the re-shortened driveshaft back in, new harness made for the speedo and installed. It now goes 150mph! OK, not really. that was at 52mph. I have to recalibrate the speedo but it is definitely quicker than before. Using the iphone she popped to 80mph in no time.
