It only does that because you're moving with it in the same frame of reference. To an observer in a fixed frame of reference, it would take a curved path because the Earth is accelerating (rotating and also revolving around the Sun).

Or... alternatively... neither are what you say.

Jokes are jokes, full stop, leave it at that. Jokes regarding racial stereotypes, sexism, dark humor, etc... are just jokes. Laugh or don't. Doesn't necessarily make the person telling the joke a racist/sexist/pedo.

Memo from the boss: you're a vegetarian now Forcing people to subscribe to your world view is a good thing, right?
It isn't quite that. If an employee doesn't like the rules, they do have the right to go find a job somewhere else.

If they don't want to serve meat at company functions, that is their right.

I wonder if they can legally refuse to reimburse for meals that were meat.

On the latter point - company policy. Just like not serving meat at functions. I wonder if there could be an ADA claim here???

As a private company, they can do what they want. I think it is more a sign of the SJW lifestyle that they think this kind of crap is okay, though.

    What's the disability?

...and does no one brown-bag it anymore?

    Anyhoo:

WeWork’s enforced vegetarianism could easily be dismissed as just another whimsical human resources directive from a high-flying technology start-up with an inflated sense of self-importance.

    Well, it's at least that.

What's the disability? I dunno. Just raising it to be contentious. I'm sure a plaintiff's attorney can try to find something to hang a claim on... Got to be some sort of medical condition somewhere that requires ingesting meat, fish or poultry!

    On brown-bagging - good question!

Yeah...except the policy is that they don't supply meat or reimburse for it....not that you can't eat it.

ADA law is pretty specific these days.

The incident unfolded earlier this month when Khalil Cavil, a 20-year-old waiter at a Saltgrass outpost in Odessa, Texas, posted an image to Facebook that showed a $108 bill with zero on the tip line, and “We don’t tip terrorist,” written in ink at the top.

So, now we've learned from a liar that "terrorist" is a race. Interesting!
