Very small corrections when backing. And go slowly. For a real challenge, try a 4' long garden cart behind a John Deere lawn tractor and try and back it in a straight line.
Even more challenging is my broadcast fertilizer/seed spreader. It's only about 2 - 2 1/2'.Very small corrections when backing. And go slowly.
Short trailers and long tow vehicles make for a more difficult backing combination.Short trailers are a b@st@rd to back up, but the tandem axles on a horse trailer makes it a lot easier as the trailer doesn't swing so quickly. That being said, our set up allows us to pull through almost everywhere we have to go (except the vet).
Funny commercial.
THIS! So much easier than doing it backwards (hand on top of the wheel).Pro tip: Put your hand on the bottom of the wheel and move it the direction you want the trailer to go.
The less you think about it the easier it is. I learned on dad’s lawnmower moving a triaxle load of dirt with a 6’ homemade trailer. I got pretty good cause the closer I got it the easier it was to load.THIS! So much easier than doing it backwards (hand on top of the wheel).
Or it would have been worse…
OMG. This is real. But wait, there is more.....
Construction truck waffles. Yes they are real too!!
