Headed out to the range shortly. Need to function test and sight in the x39 since I completely rebuilt it and have some subsonic 22 ammo to (quietly) test in my RAR.

I go away for a little bit, and the thread rolls over.

As far as retirement goes, I think I am of the age group that doesn't get to retire till almost 70...So I am looking at another 25 years to go. I wish my 401K was in better shape, but I still have time, and I keep investing.

Are those of us in that younger generations allowed to retire?

    .
I was retired once and then started working part time again, it's turned out OK. I figure to keep it going while I can.

I guess it depends on if you have enough money saved up or not. I probably won't, and will work till I can't. Though most likely I would find something to do anyways because I get bored and find things to do.

I'll be rolling until 70. Possibly further if the physique is capable. If the mind goes I won't care or you'll find me in the woods after a hunting accident.

Wonderful 1-1-2020 weather for a match today. There were ~25 shooters participating today. 88 and I both had a good time and he is now one meeting away from HHRP membership.

As anticipated, I came in middle of the pack and scored a little lower than last time. Makes no difference as I was there for the fun of it and fun it was. Great way to start the new year!!!

Hello new thread, hello CZ'ikos ! :wavey:

I ended up staying awake until 4AM, fretting over the sump pump situation. As it turns out, late last night the main pump came back online ! Examining all of the possibilities, I think that it might have self-shutdown due to thermal overload (it has thermal protection). I cleaned out the pit, and the pump housings, moved some of the actuators, and so far all is good ..... although I don't really trust it !

Behind the scenes, both KJ and TT offered their help .... much appreciated ! :)

As far a BA's question concerning "firearm goals", I actually think that i want to thin-out my modest collection, and if anything go for higher quality .... you know, KJ style ! :yesway:
I also need to shoot more often ...... but honestly, the main competitor for that is my love for my getaway cabin. That place is such a joy for me. Hammock Nirvana !
