I’m late to the topic, but the Holosun 507C is what I have on my G19. I’m quite happy with it, enough so that I’m leaning towards a 512C for my new AR pistol.

If we can work out a time Ben, I’d be happy to let you give it a try.

I have had different luck with the one Viper I have (which is also made in China).

My biggest aggravation with it is when I try to sight it in, tightening the lock screws on the windage and elevation screws moves the point of impact several MOA. Makes sighting in a real trial and error effort.

Also, I noticed a few days ago while playing with several red dots that facing the Viper toward the sun (not directly at but below and in the general direction) it caused a flair in the optic that made seeing the target difficult. I could not reproduce this with either the RMR or the C-More.

Have any of you Viper owners had either of these problems or does my Viper need to go in for warranty work?

Send it back. I have not seen that issue. Vortex warranty is superb.

All mine are AAOptic refurbs. You can’t beat that price when he has them in and they go fast.

Right. People are making serious money on youtube doing exactly that
When I think about a "dream job", it would be doing R&D work for someone in the firearms industry. I love doing that stuff. It's one thing to read about something, but it's really something else to experience it first hand. Sometimes you find out all the hype was just that. And sometimes you are thoroughly surprised.

That would be a fun job!

Watched the movie "solo" this morning.
Loved it. Not as good as the originals but now I feel like giving Disney a chance.

I might have discovered an untapped, new love....... military surplus rifles ! :wwub:
My first (the Mosin) is a very common one, but it's history, and mechanics are fascinating.
It could very well be a bottomless pit, and one that I'm running out of time to explore.
