The only drug that I’ve allowed myself to become addicted to is gun powder. I love the smell of the stuff while reloading and love it even more when it’s been turned into smoke on the range. I’d use it as talcum powder if it were not so expensive.

The only thing that comes close to gun powder is Hoppe’s #9. While I don’t have an addiction there, I sure do have a fondness for it. I swear that Hoppes is a time machine in liquid form. One sniff and it’s as if my dad were here again showing me how to clean a rifle.

At one time, Sandoz Laboratories actually made LSD for clinical trials. Now days, who knows what they put in all of the mind-altering drugs. Not that I'm tempted, but I'd NEVER try any of the stuff that's out there today.
Yeah thankfully my parents made me terrified of trying drugs. Im doing the same with my kids. One time could be game over. You never know what you are getting and even pure it will kill you. Also you could have a flashback at age 50 from a drug you did as a teenager and lose your mind killing your grandkid. (I tell all of this to my daughter. She needs the truth about drugs. They are evil and daddy will stomp that ass!)
These reality shows that show these street thugs mixing and cooking are great for scaring kids i think. They can literally see the poison these scum add

Society has gone fairly bonkers when you can buy NARCAN over-the-counter at CVS ! .......but you already know about current society. :)

When we were first married, my wife drug me to a couple of ‘New Kids’ concerts. I have no idea what they sound like though, as all I could hear was a high pitched screaming that probably did more hearing damage than all of the jet engines combined.

Probably how my wife felt when I took her to a Ted Nugent concert at Deer Creek not too long after we moved to IN... I think that was about the last concert she has gone to with me. She has been to plenty of concerts since, just not with me.

My first concert was a Kiss concert in the early 80's in FL.

When I took my son to his first concert it was Motley Crue and Kiss at Deer Creek or whatever it is called these days.

There used to be car air fresheners that were Hoppes #9 scented. I should have ordered a case of them. Might still be available.

    Parts is parts.
I thought of you when I got these parts. I got new Walnut grips for the Browning. I only own two guns that even have wood on them, and I replaced the wood on one of them. I'm like an old gun restorer now.

What does it say about me that I wouldn't mind going to see Neil Diamond, or Dave Matthews?

The only concerts I have seen with my wife are Billy Joel, and Billy Joel with Elton John.
