I think 88, is giving us a throw-down for the next 100 yard off hand competition!

    Morning folks

Finally started feeling pretty decent yesterday and closer to full strength today. Managed to get some 308 rounds loaded for a bullet seating depth test. I think I'll get some 223 loaded today for the same test. Hoping for a range trip tomorrow, though it looks to be cold and snowy.

Cold and snowy? Wanna take a mil-surp out?

I've never been fast with irons on a rifle, especially ones with a rear peep sight. I do like and appreciate them, but IMO, fast target acquisition is not their strong suit. I'd rather have a red dot style optic or a LPVO scope.

I was really expecting the little AR with simple irons to kick butt in the 5 yard drill from low ready. With both eyes open, it was a slow struggle to keep on paper. Left eye closed, I was accurate again but glacially slow. I do love that DD with the offset RMR. It was fast up close and accurate out a ways.

I need to get the basic 55g load out set up in Strelok and order a custom turret cap for that load. The factory cap is set for 3200fps which I’m not reaching with the 14.5” barrel.

We have about 3-5" inches here of very light snow. Hard to tell how much as its blowing around a little.
The wind here is from the north so the south, front, side was pretty calm and no snow blowing around. Was able to get the 2ish inches cleared off the entry way easily. The blower made pretty short work of it.

Afternoon all. Been up for about an hour. My sleep schedule is all F'd right now, so we didn't go to bed until 4am. Slept till 11, got up with some gatorade and Monica is already back in bed. Considering we both have to get up for work at 5am tomorrow, it's going to be rough. Doing a bit better today. Still having difficulty breathing, but much better than previously. I think I may actually kick this crap. Hope everyone is doing well. Very slow moving here, but beats the bedridden bum I was for 12 days. At least I can stumble around the house and get a few things done. Hope everyone has a great day!
