Long story short, been wanting a new 2 door Bronco since they rolled out. Found one exactly the way i would have specd it had i been ordering one. Went to the bank, rolled down to the Ft, aaaannd they wont sell it. They want me to order one then wait up to a year for it to be built.

Probably chrome caps over steel lug nuts. The nuts rust and swell the caps. Horrible design and a bear to deal with.

Exactly. They should have just used plated nuts like the ones on the Cragar 5 spokes on my 68. Old tech, but better than the trash the bean counters thought they could save a nickle on.

A buddy of mine ran into the issue with the swollen lugnuts on his Ford Fusion.

I should check the Mustang to see what it has, and if I have to replace them.

Swollen lugnuts, lugnuts overtorqued with an impact gun and locking lugnuts without the key. I don't miss any of that.

Today, I completely cleared the bed of my lil' pickup truck, to make room for the FGE party favors. The excitement built, as I imagined the sound of lead striking AR500 steel .... making it squeal ! Better yet, I imagined seeing all of my CZicko friends sitting on 0830's long porch, stuffing brisket and pork into their mouths !
