Everyone seems to be in good spirits. This pleases the Ronin. An unsuccessful hunt, but a very successful morning. Magpie kicked up a massive owl and a turkey on our trek. I don't know who was scared more at the moment, her or the gobbler. She near shyte herself.

Good assessment of deer sign, and am loving the crop rotation in the area around our patch. Should make for a pleasant deer season. 2/4 treestands checked and G2G.

May try to squeeze in some yard work before actual work. Gotta pay to play.

If you are waiting for 2019 pricing to return, good luck…
Makes me feel better about my most recent primer purchase that I didn't need. I can raise the price on them in November. Now if I could just find some Varget to jack up later. :lmfao:

Same. I feel pretty OK about those 4000 primers I bought at that local auction. No shipping, hazmat or sales tax.

Made a deal for some more primers with some guy online but haven’t seen them yet. ;-)).

    Varget? VARGET? WHERE??

I heard the jerk wants you to meet him half way to complete the deal. The guy must be a real a**.
If you two are planning on meeting up, my house would be close to the half-way point.
Heck, I'd setup a lunch. It would be great to chew-the- fat with THE Bandit &Tarzan ! :rockwoot:

Any time in the woods with Magpie must be considered successful, if not as fruitful as Dad may have liked. Sounds like a great morning and you sure had perfect weather for it. Did you find any cuttings? At least see what they've been eating?

You probably could have entered the race. It had nothing to do with speed and everything to do with which dog could go directly from Point A to Point B.
This does seem to be a problem for most wiener dogs. The only time I see her go from point A to point B, is when I have food in my hands and she is following me.

That’s what has been missing. Being comfortable and getting rest.
I hope the new chair helps with the getting rest. When healing, rest is very important.

The only time I usually take naps, is when I am not feeling well. This is how my wife knows I am not feeling well.

Grey squirrels around here eat immature friut from the trees, I'm wondering if I could buy something like a large glue trap to put around the bases.

Most agreed. The girls had their hearts set on skvoil sammiches.

Mostly Hickory cuts. Thin, but we could hear them lightly cutting. Few shavings around. Deceptive sounds with the light rain on the leaves in the gusts. They'll start on the oaks next. I'll be back out Saturday for sure, unless I sneak in an opportunity earlier (doubtful). I think the overcast morning pushed them to hit the snooze. Not much treetop action.

On the opposite side of the coin....Dad's chickens have been eating the apples on the ground. Once in awhile they will get hold of a fermented one. Drunk chickens are awesome to watch.
