Hey guys, I survived CA! Spending a couple of days out there was enough to reinforce the idea that I will never live in that socialist republic again. Highlights of the trip: 5 beers, 3 appetizers and 2 glasses of wine for the minor sum of $161. Or, there was the nutbag that started to shout expletives at a group of cops yelling that he was armed and wanted to kill every one of them. Apparently, they are used to it as none of them were phased and after talking to the guy for a moment, just walked away with the nutbag hollering at every person that did not match his preferred racial mix. I was trying really hard to will a pistol into my hand, but they were 1800 miles away.

The infrastructure out there is going to pot so the brown trout they keep electing governor can build a bullet train that runs between two towns that nobody travels between. It's a sick, sad and crazy place but you cannot convince any of them that they are screwing themselves every day that they live there. My brother in law said that a house that's smaller than his a block away just sold for 1.6 million dollars. This is a house that would fetch maybe $130k in Indy. On a good day.

Great to be back in Indy!

I should list my SP01 Tactical up for an even trade for a .40 version. Like it a lot, but like .40 more I think. Need to ponder that idea a bit.

Where in Cali were you? The wifes family is all in the San Diego area and won't leave. Me I have no desire to set foot in that state ever again.

When I was deeply involved in racing I made several jaunts to the left coast. It is unique in its own way but no way you could pay me to live out there.
3 trips to Laguna Seca (Monteray bay area) and like wise to Delmar (San Diago) and 3 to Sears point in Sanoma. All great places full of the rich and famous.

Nope. Would never want to live there.

I lived in Monterey right off the Presidio for 47 weeks when i was in Russian language training for the army and was at the superbike races at Laguna Seca in 1986 or 7. That stuff gives me a stiffy just watching. Abso-glocking-lutely exciting.

Guess what I did a few weeks ago? I bought my FIRST G$:&?k ever and it was in 40!

WT is an enabler. Terrible sponsor.

    I resemble that remark! :):

Hey, BTW, I still have 2 Sig P229's in .40 in my collection...

OK; I posted someplace a reference to cm being my hero. Sorry, buddy.

MM is my new hero. It is one thing to have the experiences of youth but it is a whole other level of impressive when your wife lets you keep the photographic evidence. I am impressed!

I find it odd/funny that we always tell people to "grow-up", encourage our kids to be mature and then spend decades longing for the carefree nature of those less disciplined years.

We could all tell a true story(ies) now but after MM's unsolicited release of information, accuracy will always be suspect.

First Place gets the prize! (but if you have pictures...we can always consider a run off) :rockwoot:

We were up in the SF Bay Area. Back in the 80's and early 90's, I lived out there but escaped to Indy in '95. They can keep that area. We did go out to Point Reyes and climbed down to the lighthouse, which was fun. Other than that and seeing family, I'm not a fan of that area. They have regular anti-gun ads on TV letting the subjects know that their betters are doing everything they can to progress the anti-gun agenda.

On a frustrating note, the price of regular unleaded is almost a dollar higher than it is here, but the price of premium is close to the same price as it is here. Out there, all gas prices need to be advertised, not just the cheapest, so it's harder for gas stations to screw people with a 90 cent difference between regular and premium.
