The FGE usually falls on the weekend my wife has to work. Thankfully not this year, though. She's looking forward to it, doesn't really know what to expect.
She should be prepared for a bunch of needy guys. I'm kinda hoping my wife will come but then I'm afraid that would cut the day short.

Saw some interesting used guns at Scheels today, they had two nice 9mm Rami's for 750.00 each, not sure if that's a good price or not, saw a used DWX compact already for 1599.00.

No work was performed on the bathroom project today. Drove 40 miles to Lindale, Texas, home of Miranda Lambert. Had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel. Miranda wasn’t there.

Went to the Lowe’s, Miranda wasn’t there either, and neither was the crap I needed for my bathroom.

Went back to the house, got more measurements, then headed to Forney, Texas, on the outskirts of Dallas.

Scored my tub and the surround for it, along with the fixture.

For the record, a tub surround box is 60x64x12. You can’t stand it up on one of those lumber carts with the rack, 12” is to wide. You have to lay it on a flat cart. They had to move a lot of **** out of the middle of the aisle to get a 5’ wide box through. They can check you out at the return desk.

Playing around with slide milling on my practice slide. Some ball cuts and removed the front serrations. Top ball cut will make production, possibly the serration delete. Bottom ball cut was a cover up cut over a 60 degree chamfer cut that didn't work. I'll order a different end mill.

Next practice session will be flat top work.

    Morning all!
    :coffee:

    Morning folks!

Ordered a new (to me) camera last night. This is an 80s vintage Canon F-1N film SLR. I've been lusting after this since 1981.
Both in this case. Film cameras are very inexpensive nowadays. I've spent more on groceries before than I did on this camera
Sweet! Saw some nice lenses go for pennies at an auction last week.

How available is film and processing these days?
