From the mind of the Spicyweiner.Ordered materials this morning to make a custom fixture designed specifically for milling optics cuts on slides. It will be a 6"x12"x1" 6061 aluminum plate that will mount directly to my rotary table. If it comes out the way I want, it will allow me to mill just about any slide for just about any optic I want, while making the set up and overall time drastically less. This idea started after a few people asked about the Holosun K series optic cut, which involves cutting a curve at the front and rear of the footprint (stupid design). I've done that specific cut on several occasions and it was very time consuming on my manual mill (CNC mill not so much!). I will start a separate thread on this little project, so stay tuned!
I have a Jericho that I want to get cerkoted. This gives me ideas. I had kept going back and forth between like a burnt bronze, Navy Blue, Titanium, and a few other colors. It is going to be two tone, just because I like that look.
