The DWX is a much better looking gun and feels great in my hands. In all other respects the Shadow 2 Compact is better. The trigger is lighter and the gun just plain shot better for me. I had been tempted in the past to pick up a DWX Compact, but I'll save my money. Don't get me wrong, it's a great gun, but it didn't do anything for me over the Shadow 2 Compact (other than from an aesthetics perspective).
    That seems a fair analysis.

I would add that the DWXc is overpriced and doesn't have an optic cut (which AllenM solved for me...). I kinda didn't mind the lack of an optic cut as I was able to direct mount the optic of my choice without a plate system but that added to the already inflated cost.

The trigger in my DWXc is ok. I'd have to measure it again for weight but I plan on giving it a little spit and polish to pull it down close to 3#.

    CZ for the win!

I totally expected the DWX to have the better trigger, but IMO the Shadow 2 Compact was lighter and crisper, at least in single action.

New contest: Identify the pendant. What is it made of ?

Hint #1 ---It's not dinosaur poop
Hint #2 -- It's connected to the automotive industry.
Hint #3 -- My wife gave it to me for Valentines (only the 2nd jewelry ever given)

I forget the term, but they are from layers of paint chipped off of finish conveyors in car plants and other factories.

Companies that made metal parts for point of purchase displays is another good area to collect this stuff. You need an industry that makes a lot of short runs with a big and ever changing color palette. Most companies have few or one color to products they manufacture and paint.

Thanks for your industry perspective, LE ! I thought that it was pretty cool when they stated my piece was from late 1950's production. I can see that 'baby blue' being a '57 T-bird being painted !

It's been a thing with people connected to the paint industry. Electrostatic painting tends to concentrate the thickness in certain areas of the hangers that carry parts or cars through bake ovens. After many trips through the oven these are as hard or harder than laminate so they polish up easily. It helps with car finishes that they also have acrylic bases contributing to the clarity.

I wonder if I could get better results with a different barrel?
The guns awesome, just not as accurate as any of my CZ’s, especially the tactical.

Each gun/shooter is different. The ergos on the gun were fantastic for me, as I was able to ride the safety like on a 1911. I didn't shoot it too impressively, but for me I could keep a relatively nice grouping while shooting it pretty fast. If I slowed down and really concentrated, I could keep 10 rounds in a 3" sticker at 7 yards. That's pretty good for me.
