    In the country, hopefully.
    Morning folks! :coffee:

I did a bit of shooting yesterday, but not of the type approved of here :)

In January, I bought a parts camera that was in really good shape other than it doesn't work. So, I bought another parts camera that was in really bad shape but found that one did work. Sort of. So, the focus was on doing an RTS (return to service) of the bad camera before jumping into electrical issues on the good camera.

The bad camera needed cleaned, lubricated and a battery door replaced. I also replaced the light seals. Here's what I started with

This is with the top cover removed to replace the battery door

Here's the completed camera that tested well yesterday

And, here's a shot from yesterday's test. This was taken with a known good lens and using the camera's automatic metering

I'm calling this one done and am now moving on to the nice camera with the electrical issues. The oscilloscope may come out for that one.
Well, I think that kind of shooting is definitely approved of here.

But I think there’s more work to be done on that one, it’s still just black and white?

Dang. That’s a lot going on in a small space.

There is a lot of stuff packed under the top cover. It's actually relatively simple once you memorize the circuits. This is mid 1970s technology so the circuit traces are big enough to follow visually.
