I say you go old school and do an Office Space...
HEY?!!? I live here and keep both my guns here!
and all of @Hoosier45 ‘s.
I say you go old school and do an Office Space...
Anyone have their auto insurance rates go up this year year? My auto insurance went up 21% this year. I went into see my agent. He said all auto insurance has went up. He blamed Biden for it.
I've not had any accidents, no tickets, and I've been with this group for years.
I told him to look around for a better deal.
I'm a good customer, I pay the whole year in advance, no tickets, or accidents, been loyal to this company. IMO I should be getting lower rates.
G(late)M CZ fans. Please bring that to the SGE as I would love to shoot it. I've always loved the 40P and am sad I sold mine.
I'm with Auto Owners insurance.I have Farm Bureau. Looks like it’s up about 6% on three vehicles in the last year-ish.
Whew. That was close.Hey, hold up. He just suggested it. We still need to put "adult in the room" status to a vote.
Another thing you could get your FFL and give INGO members a $15-20 transfer fee to offset expenses of the license. Just an idea. You wouldn't have to carry any inventory other than the transfer firearms.I don't know how to predict a ROI on something like this, because I don't know how much stuff or work I will sell.
Interesting thought on the FFL part. What would be the concern of being a business doing work on firearm accessories/parts, but not the actual firearm itself? I don't know if I can get my FFL where I'm at, haven't pursued that yet. There's a whole process with the city zoning dept. I have talked to them about it though.
Agreed, we didn't have to deal with zoning, but when my wife first started her business (it was a yard sign business) she housed the letters, etc in our garage for a while. (middle aged women her and her partner, wanted a bathroom close to where some of the work would need to take place) Then we moved and the "inventory"moved with us. It was low key and not an issue at all and quiet, etc.I believe we are on the same page. What I do in the garage would have zero impact on the neighborhood. And that's the way I would want it, because I live here too and wouldn't want the guy next door running an auto repair shop all hours of the day and disturbing the peace. Basically I told the zoning department that I would be less disturbing than a gas push mower cutting the grass.
Honestly, doing FFL transfers doesn't interest me. I'm interested in feeding my soul with machining and artwork. Dealing with transfers, additional paperwork, NICS delays and things of that nature have no interest to me. Remember, this is all optional to me. I want to do what I want to do. It's not all about the money, its also about quality of life and not hating or dreading my work. FFL application is only $200 and good for 3 years, then $90 to renew. I believe the state license is $60 for 6 years.Another thing you could get your FFL and give INGO members a $15-20 transfer fee to offset expenses of the license. Just an idea. You wouldn't have to carry any inventory other than the transfer firearms.

All I have to say to this.....NO OFFENSE to the older and wiser CZers in here....Whew! I was worried!
My prescription is too strong for that unfortunately.
My vision was well managed for shooting until I hit the reading glasses stage and since then I have yet to recapture the magic of my youth.
It's called "Let's Go Brandon". This country has lost so much since Oblama was President.....or is he just enjoying his 3rd term, pulling the puppet strings??? OK, too much politics. Prices for everything are EXPENSIVE since Joe and Covid. I want to go back to the 80's.....turn that Delorean back to 1984......when a Russian Mosin was $49 bucks and an M1 ORIGINAL Garand could be bought for $500 or less......and gas was 85 cents!!!! Oh to be young again!!!!Anyone have their auto insurance rates go up this year year? My auto insurance went up 21% this year. I went into see my agent. He said all auto insurance has went up. I have leftovers!Oh, hey, @Born2vette , @ChrisK , @ditcherman , et al, I finally order an Epson 3850 printer from Costco this morning to replace my aged HP laser. It has been a good unit but toner availability has cut its life short.
Tannerite anyone?
Oh man, I didn’t mean to become a grown up.
I do life to share my experience, I feel very blessed.
Also, I said not leveraged too much. I’m plenty leveraged still. No Dave Ramsey here.
Only ship that won't sail is a partnership.Agreed, we didn't have to deal with zoning, but when my wife first started her business (it was a yard sign business) she housed the letters, etc in our garage for a while. (middle aged women her and her partner, wanted a bathroom close to where some of the work would need to take place) Then we moved and the "inventory"moved with us. It was low key and not an issue at all and quiet, etc.
Then Covid hit and their business took off a good bit and she and her partner took on contract installers, etc and inventory grew. I provided input that I didn't want installers in and out of my garage at all hours of the evening and to have cars coming and going and to raise any concerns with neighbors, etc. So they decided to take the hit and got a storage unit, then moved into an even bigger storage unit in time. It cost the business monthly, but was worth it to me and them for quality of life, etc.
She sold the business due to interesting times with her partner, (and the morale of that part of the story, is don't ever do a partnership).
Hmm? Who was the guy running around here with his newly minted custom 2011s and 1911s? He just did a 40p for me but I can't remember his name for anything?Got to the range with my new 1911 and my Prodigy. Zero issues with either gun. I do shoot the Prodigy better but have more time with it. Overall I'm very happy with the 1911. I'm thinking about an optic in the future as I was having issues seeing the front sight. Anybody have experience mounting an optic on a 1911?
The prodigy is a very easy to shoot gun. I like my BUL but still might consider a Prodigy if one fell in my lap.Got to the range with my new 1911 and my Prodigy. Zero issues with either gun. I'm sure T-DOGG would have an idea.Got to the range with my new 1911 and my Prodigy. Zero issues with either gun. I do shoot the Prodigy better but have more time with it. Wow, that looks right with a red dot. That is probably one of the best .40 shooters out there right now. Near perfect balance and a good trigger to boot.Really? Sure. Ok. I know a cannon that says otherwise.
BTW….excellent work on creating the world’s only OR CZ 40p. Thank you!
This will be a seldom fired gun so went with a cheap $115 optic. It fits the slide nicely (has a sealing plate with bottom battery) and the optic quality seems decent.
Might just put another one on a Rami?
That is your old 40P WT. I bought it off of you and figured out the issue it had. The stainless guide rod made the thing run beautifully. I picked up a spare slide and then let the project languish for far too long. Before long, I passed it on to the Bandit who, with T-Dogg driving, took the gun to where it needed to go.Please bring that to the SGE as I would love to shoot it. I've always loved the 40P and am sad I sold mine.
