There were two fawns with that doe but the damn things wouldn't stop chasing each other long enough to get a picture with her.
This fawn has been hanging out in my yard alot when mom isn't around. If mom is with it, she is likely to bolt if we come out. Mom did get nose to nose with the cat once (several weeks back) and then did a little kick without trying to land it. Cat was smart enough to run back to me at that point.

Making the invite list for the FGE. 7 October is the date. Contact me by PM if you will be available and would like to attend. The list will be between 15 and 20 individuals/shooters. Well behaved spouses and children (spouses and well behaved children?) are welcome. Rules and vocabulary will be modified according to presence of polite company. As usual, I will provide the protein, and lunch will be potluck otherwise. Once the list is set we'll attempt to achieve a relatively balanced menu from all participants.
PM me if you have questions.View attachment 291804

How do you keep the squirrels from stealing all of your apples? I can't seem to shoot enough of them.

I shocked at this behavior! What did you feed them to?
They have enough Dry cat food to last a week ( have a Bulk feeder that would last a month ) - wife gives them a handful of Hard Treats every day and a can of Wet Cat food Daily - plus they get Brushed every day -- spent most of last night Meowing to be Petted
