    Evening all.

Just home from taking the crew to the Watermelon Festival. They haven't had it for a few years, and it's Pickle Lady's hometown. I am without freedom of choice, lol.

Weren't bad. Few nice vendors, free slabs of fresh picked melon for all, food prices were less than expected. Nice way to end the summer break.

Hopefully a less eventful night than last. In the AM the girls are meeting me to continue the journey to see some close friends in need of hugs and smiles.

#2 son asked if I had heard of the 454 Casull to which I replied that there is one somewhere back in the safe. Some digging produced it as it's not something I shoot often. I think he was more impressed with the noise than the recoil, like MM's S&W, both are substantial.

He should have known that you'd have one !

I witnessed a death struggle (in miniature) at the cabin .... and just remembered the photo. The tick (?) had sunk it's nasty proboscis into the belly of the tiny 1" inchworm.
The inchworm was literally getting his insides sucked outside.

Soon, the inchworm lay still, and the victor dragged his body from my deck.
    R.I.P, little worm.

In case there's a cocaine bear.
    Behind the fridge.
    At the neighbors house.

I would make a comment about the annoying habit this mfg has in making their ring mount different heights for many of their products, but we all know good and well how odd and unconventional things named Ruger are... :dunno::n00b: (I have 5+ sets for my M77 30-06, ended up with a Wieg-a-tinny)

The grizzly in The Edge had more of spooky look, played by the now deceased Bart the Bear. I told the gardener after watching the movie that they should have given Bart an Oscar for his performance.

Bart was awesome. That's a good movie, too.

If I recall, Bart's offspring took his place acting after his death?

I don’t care how big my deck was, if this was on my deck I’d pour gas on it and light it on fire. Or at least stomp all over my own deck.

Now go back and read it in Australian, if you didn’t already!
