I can't believe that we're talking about political "clowns" and INGO let this quote go without any humor. Really guys, let's get back in the game.

Sigh. Yep. We're slackin'. It's been a weird day though on INGO. I learned a new word which the INGO filters don't blot out.

How to Argue With a Young Socialist

Under democratic socialism, these vast powers and resources would be overseen by elected officials. But to say the absolutely obvious, Mr. Trump was elected president in 2016. What would it mean, you can ask your young interlocutor, if the U.S. were a democratic socialist country and all that power fell into his hands? What if the Trump administration controlled the universities and ran the hospitals?
A government that feeds its citizens tells them what and whether to eat. And it is possible that the U.S. might end up someday with a leader that the socialists find even more abhorrent than Mr. Trump. So why, you can ask your young friend, is he so eager to give people he may hate so much more power over his own life?

Well, wasn't sure, this has NRA, gun control, and immigration.
    So I put it here.

What does INGO think of the latest comments from the President about his Attorney General? He seems to be going after him both in an interview and on Twitter.

Trump prods Sessions to probe corruption on the 'other side,' as feud flares | Fox News

How is it good to talk about your employee in the media like this? Why doesn't he tell him in private what he thinks, and if he really doesn't like the job he is doing, get rid of him?

This kind of soap opera nonsense is what drags him down in the eyes of many.

I think trump wants to let people know what he is saying in person and nothing still is being done, that's the point.

If he thinks that, then he should fire the guy, or ask for his resignation. These public attacks look petty and childish to me.

Yes he should fire him for doing a poor job but if he fired him right now the left would make signs and run in the streets yelling and making up chants and stuff.
The tweets are essential for transparency and to let the public know the facts since the left-stream media is failing at this.

Point of clarification: you are taking Trump's tweets as truth, complete and absolute truth?

I am taking Trump's tweets as tweets from the President of the United States. They are valuable because they have not been filtered by the media or reported second hand or slanted to the left agenda.

All these "I hire the best" people Trump has to fire...

It's kind of a Catch 22. He could only hire "the best" from the people that were actually willing to work with him, which limited him to people that had some sort of reason for being willing to work with him.

I think the more sophisticated crooks in DC realized it would be better to lay low for a while.

So, another example of Trump supporters taking him non-literally.

During the meeting, Mr Trump said the mid-term elections were not just a referendum on him but also "on your religion, it's a referendum on free speech and the First Amendment [guaranteeing basic freedoms]".
"It's not a question of like or dislike, it's a question that they will overturn everything that we've done and they will do it quickly and violently. And violently. There is violence. When you look at Antifa - these are violent people," he said.

The "they" in the overturn has to be the Dems who might be elected in a "blue wave" of midterms. (One that IMHO is not going to happen, but whatevs.) In the same sentence, though, he then talks about "quickly and violently." Same "they." He then switches to Antifa.

One supporter went on to say...

“He said if the Democrats take the House there will be virulent opposition to his agenda. He said some of those groups on the left incite and advocate violence and mentioned Antifa.”

That may be what the supporter understood Trump to say, but that's not what Trump said.
