they are a little hard to find i feel your pain....Passed on one of those in the LGS for $500 a few months back due to not having a bunch of disposable cash at the time. I already kind of regret it...if I end up with a carbine, I'm REALLY going to regret it!
you have one?.....im sure that is a hoot to shoot!!!Automag 3
yes mine is a boomer too!!!!I have a Winchester M1 Carbine, and Inland M1A1 Paratrooper and a Ruger Blackhawk in 30 Carbine. All are pretty fun to shoot. The rifles the 30 cal is pretty tame but in the Blackhawk it’s pretty danged loud!
Awhile back, I got out of AR's altogether (back in now) and I wound up trading all my 5.56 ammo to another INGOer for his 2K rounds of 30 carbine ammo. I'd kind of like to have one of the revolvers too!Passed on one of those in the LGS for $500 a few months back due to not having a bunch of disposable cash at the time. i'll have to keep my eyes open for one....Yes and you're right it is fun to shoot, loud ,but fun.
As far as I know it's only used in the M1 carbine and there's also at least one revolver (Ruger I believe) chambered for it. SGAmmo has had Korean surplus ammo in stock for quite awhile. New manufacture is also available, but like most everything else now, not all that easy to find.

Same here. My dad was 384th FAB 6th Army, so he didn't carry a Garand. I have a pic of him at Camp Houze before going over holding a carbine.I'd love to have one. One of the few pictures I've seen of my grandpa's time in the Marines is of him holding an M1 Carbine. I'll have to see what sort of price they bring.
keep in mind the gun you order from classic is not the one you get. it will look like it went through a wood chipperClassic has refurbished USGI carbines now. Prices range from 1500 - 1700. Might give some kind of idea what these will be priced at when they arrive.
