I’ve always admired the Hi-Powers but have never shot one. Been all striker fired for some time (only still have one external hammer fired gun), but might have to get one of these.

Once the hype dies down, may have to see if they come in under MSRP.

I see these come with one mag, and they improved the mags/increased capacity, but I assume this would be compatible with older HP mags?

Anyone think they will release additional models? I know there were at least a couple of different HP models including a practical.

If I pick one of these up, it would be the only non EDC or EDC trainer type handgun I've bought in an incredibly long time.
So I finally picked up one of these last weekend. Still need to get it to the range and prove it to be reliable, etc.

Looking at ordering some mags, etc.

Anyone had one for a while? What have folks done for grips, or any other mods, etc?

Just curious. There was lots of comments on these, but interested to see who bought one, still has it, etc.

You can get both Pachmayr and Hogue wraparounds for the HP.
Interested in these a bit myself. Been quite some time since I had a gun that I could put grips on. I've got WC modules on my 365's, and 320's.

Leaning a bit toward the Hogue wraparounds for practical use, but LOK grips (never even handled any) sure look interesting, yet expensive.

Are there any improvements to these over the original Belgian made h-powers that can be purchased for about half the price? I even have an original 1935 hi-power with adjustable sights and detachable stock that shoots like a dream that I purchased for less than one of these.

I'm curious, roughly (ball park) how much were you able to get that one for?

The SA-35's have come down quite a bit from what I can tell. I got my SA-35 for a quite reasonable price.

I've had a Belgian version for years and http://craigspegel.com/ has very nice Hi-Power grips. Novak is very good with these
and I had them perform a trigger job and night sights. Working on these triggers can be tricky I hear and wouldn't trust just
    anyone working on them.

Where are you finding Belgian hi-powers for $600?

There are Turkish ones in that range.

I purchased a nice 1969 T series Belgian hi-power for just under $600 two weeks ago at a gun show. You just need patience and a little luck
That’s not luck, that’s Grand Theft!!!

I picked up a HP Practical at the 1500 for $850 and thought I was extremely lucky. Before and after shots.

I bought a SA 35 last June and have about 1500 rounds through it. I've had one malfunction with it.

This SA 35 is a really sweetheart. It is my favorite handgun to shoot.

All of my mags are Mecgar 15's. Haven't tried any FN 13's. I haven't put any hollow points through it

Good to know. About to put in an order at Greg Cote on some Mecgar's. Contemplating ordering some grips for the SA-35 as well.

Picked up my SA-35 for similar. Not saying it's an equivalent to a 1969 T series, but also saying, that wasn't half the price. I chalk mine up to luck and patience as well.
