Hey guys, just did my fingerprinting today and I'm all paid for so I should get my permit in 10-14 days.

I've never owned a gun and neither have any of my immediate family members. I have however, shot four or five handguns and done some clay shooting.

Looking to get a handgun mainly for target shooting. I know I have a lot to learn.

Good for you! Buy 1 gun then get lots of training. And remember a trauma type medical class is great too.

    Welcome to the forum.
Check out the FAQs, link is in my signature line.

Also, remember to have a thick skin when you post. Sometimes it gets a little rough.

You didn't show where you're from.
Check out the Events area. You might be able to find a Meet & Shoot, or Meet & Greet near you. Lots of fun.

Welcome! I'm right up the street in Noblesville! And its not so much about having thick skin, just use the search feature, prevents quite a bit of flaming.

Welcome! You're on the right track, still trying to talk my coworker into getting his license to carry.

If you haven't decided what you want yet firearm wise, be sure to check out the INGO Real-World-Reviews for what experiences knowledgeable forum members on here have to say about certain guns! :ingo:

    Don't :D

OP not a big deal but you actually get a LTCH - License To Carry a Handgun. Its different than a permit. A license as opposed to a permit such as other states may issue. It allows you to carry any way you want.
