Try your local auto repair shop that does tires as well. They usually have 5 gallon buckets of lead wheel weights laying around wanting to off load.

I'm working on my 10mm currently.
Just worked up a load for the 200gr WFNGC bullet. Got it upto 1257 fps avg 10 shot group. Still need to do accuracy testing and adjust it accordingly.

Now I'm working up a load for the 155gr XTP for the 10mm.

Picked up 100lbs of which 35 was scrap for $35 and then he had 100ish lbs of auto body solder. 82 of it was 30/70 tin/lead with a few lbs each of 40/60 and 50/50. Got that for a screaming deal of $70. Also been hitting the local antique stores and sales for pewter which so far has come out to 5/lbs. Im sure that average will go down as I get better on my hallmarks and haggling.

1775, we've been casting straight wheel weights forever, learned it from an Uncle and cousin, no need for all the mixing.
Be warned tho, you need to pick out all the newer zink weights, they will be marked with a Zn.
If you can't tell a pair of side cuts works also, lead cuts zink doesn't.

Since it's another crappy, rainy day, I'm going to start processing some 6.5 grendel brass. Get it deprimed, resized, trimmed, and cleaned.

Tried out an old Ideal .44 core adjustable length mold that drops out at .390" diameter. The castings came out to 0.003" length per grain.
Being adjustable for length this may be usable paper patching in the Green Mountain .40 caliber (48" twist) barrel and of a certainty for the 16" twist.
If I take the fast twist barrel out hunting reckon a wadcutter close to 300 grains oughta work.

These are from the adjustable length hollow base mold for forty bore.

The .44 core mold would be patched as flat base and flat nose, an "either end" projectile.

I've done that. I got stick on weights and clip on weights. I also downloaded the alloy calculator from cast boolits so I can blend my pewter and stick on weights

Guy at church is going to start loading 223, asked me if I'd size deprime and trim some cases for him so he can start cleaning them up while he gets his supplies

Glad I'm not alone. I was very pleased with it. Worked up incrementally to 4.8 but it got snappy.

TiteGroup is a great powder, IMHO.

I went up to 4.7 in my testing but didn't see any better results vs the 4.5 so I've stuck with that for the 230gr plinking rounds. Saves me some powder too

6.5 Creedmoor. First load tested with RL15 was half moa but pretty mild with only 36.5gr under a 140 ELD.

Im into RL16 now hoping for higher speed and still having good accuracy. Bought a keg based on online reviews only, so far it’s worth the hype.

6.5CM here too... Picked up a # of RL17 to try out... With 38 to 38.5gr of W760 under a 140gr Match Burner I can get 1/2 dollar groups at 200yds. But- getting some slight pressure signs. Hence- lets see how RL17 works...

Loaded some 6x47 this week. The old school caliber, based on a 222 magnum. Ran some 75 grain Midway blems in it and chrono'd at 2950 fps. Can't run any heavier due to 14 twist barrel. But the accuracy I want is there, may take it deer hunting this year.

Also tried a new for me load in the heavy barreled 308. 44 grains of Varget pushing a 150 Sierra gave me uncanny accuracy, best group was just a hair over half inch at 100 meters. Between that and my 6br, I'm pretty set for sniping deer from across small fields at dusk.
