Would have to agree with kaveman. I've been watching/bidding on GunBroker for a CS9 for awhile now - without success. I generally find that site to be a full retail and I don't remember the last time I saw a CS9 in a LGS around me. Auctions tend to end up one side or the other of $500 rather they sell or not. Buy it now prices tend to $500 to $600.

Of course, condition, box, mags, etc. all influence price so I'd say $350 to $600.

The one on GB that you might be referring to end up at $475 and was probably a fair price IMHO.

I just bought a CZ 50 only after I sold some things. My wife must be really pissed and isn't saying anything. 3 purchases in this month the most I've done. I probably would of had a harder time explaining a CS9 if I had won one.

    I think my new wish list for next year is a 5943, 3953, 4516, CS9, CS45, 5926, 39-2, 639, 645, and 3914.

Yep - have the same problem when I brought home two SW hand ejectors and a paperweight Iver Johnson breaktop last week...

I've been watching a cs9 and 5906 on GunBroker but they keep going north. The 5906 is at $479 with 7 minutes to go. Geez.

    Let's see 2018 wish list....3906, cs9, 5906, 1066, 639 and 645 and maybe a 4006TSW since I don't own a single .40 or just one Third Gen from the Performance Center...

At risk of repeating myself, I sure do miss the days of $275 5906s in really good condition. It's like when all of that South African M193 was flooding the market in 2,700 round tins and almost free it was so cheap. Who knew then that we should have bought it ALL?

You are correct! That 5906 went for $499 plus $40 S&H. I stopped bidding at $494 when a conference call started so it was probably just me and the winning bidder. The CS9 (located in Seymour, IN) went for $555 plus $30 but I was tied up on the phone.

I was bidding on that CS9 here in Indiana but I quit at 490 or so. I ended up at Rural King yesterday, picked up a 10/22 Takedown. It was marked down to 269, plus their 12% cash back, and using previous cash back cards I had, I only spent 60 bucks cash on it, so I'm happy. I'd love to find a decent deal on a CS9 or 40, but good luck, right? There was a CS40 over in Ohio on armslist, but I didn't even see if he would ship.Might have to look at the 908 or 910/915 next.

I've never even handled a CS9. I'm not sure I've even seen one in person.

How do they compare to a 3913/3914/908?

I believe the CS's come with hogue grips and if you wanted the thin stock grips you would have to have some custom made . I remember seeing a thread on the S&W forum where a guy was taking 3913 grips and shortening them to fit the cs9 and maybe the 40.

The grip on the CS series was terrible. It wasn’t the hogues, it was the shape of the grip frame, they had that little indention at the top and the 40 especially I found unpleasant to shoot. The grips on the 39 series Guns was Much better.

Funny. When S&W was still making the CS series they weren’t very popular from my recollection. It wasn’t until after they stopped production, like so many others, that they became desireable. Just my 2 cents.

Maybe ill I’ll dig a few out and take a pic to add if you guys wanna see some :)

The CS9 is a 3913 that shrunk in the wash and ended up a little out of shape...great firearm though. I see SW brought out a 3" 1911 in 9mm - still a market for a small steel autoloader. I want one but with an MSRP of $1330; I have other needs/wants.

Can't believe you used the G-word in a SW thread....but if you want to get out of that trade, I could probably give you what you paid for the Glock for the Sig...

That's why I dumped it. Only really ended up with it because it got put on the shelf at the store I was at. Had never had one, thought I'd try it, decided I knew I could trade it off if I didn't want to keep it. That worked out well.

I won a 3906/909 9rd mag NIB off GB last night for 19.99 shipped. I think I need a bigger ammo can for my 3rd gen mag storage.

Yep, they are all in their original boxes with tool kits/paperwork/extra mags etc...

LOL...I'm pretty sure my widow will be the one selling them....but you never know I may decide to retire in a few years ...

    Thanks on the imgur
