Zelensky still went so far as to say he wants to meet with China's leader Xi Jinping to discuss the proposals, perhaps motivated by a sense that Xi could have significant sway with President Putin, making acceptable ceasefire terms more of a reality.

"I plan to meet Xi Jinping and believe this will be beneficial for our countries and for security in the world," Zelensky said.

President Biden telling ABC News on Friday: " Putin's applauding it, so how could it be any good?"

"I've seen nothing in the plan that would indicate that there is something that would be beneficial to anyone other than Russia," he added.

If China negotiated with Putin and The Z-man to pull Russian troops out of Ukraine, where Russia gets to save face, and Ukraine tells the US to **** off, that would be hella embarrassing for the US and 0Biden, and would severely weaken US influence in world affairs.

It's like the big bully who pushes everyone around until someone pulls his pants down and laughs at his little pecker. Then everyone just ignores him thereafter.

Somebody is going to pay to rebuild that country, Z might get a bidding war started between Biden and Xi. It's been an expensive war so far and rebuilding will cost even more.

It will have a price tag of around 349 more billion,at least according to the World Bank.

Which of course will likely have another Trilateral commission leader soon, among other things.

And why are they on the 'favored' trading partner list?
Because they make most of the things we use(from all vehicle oil filters to most electronics and consumer goods),and Taiwan makes most of the chips(also recognize by the USA at the UN as part of China).

Changing that dynamic will take a very long time.

If you need or will need it I suggest you stock up now. It would not take much for prices to explode as one event could crash global trade, and then well. I am sure in a decade we could make some of the things we import from China after setting up manufacturing and energy again, and importing cheap labor.

Our grid is not set up for a return of manufacturing not to mention...

and countries ranked by amount of electricity they produce(hint the USA produces less than 1/3 of what China does and India likely passed us last year if not they will in 2023 as we are shutting down more "dirty" coal plants).

The spin in this article is incredible.

I think it is obvious, but it sure looks like 41.2%(the countries in the poll,it is actually worse if you add in Brazil ect) global population does not support the US,EU9,or Great Britain(10.1% of the global population).
More info at the article. Things most do not realize. For example in China only 6% of the population thinks the US is a better democracy than China itself. It goes on to explore more polls, for example why does the US support Ukraine and the majority of nations polled though it was to maintain western dominance.
The last image I am posting though shows to me the difference in how the media and even social media have covered the war.

You should read it to the bottom. Loads more packed into it. Example 9% of American's(surveyed) think the US will still be globally dominant in 10 years. 13% think it will be China(13% of American's). Many countries covered in that one as well.

"The U.S. Department of the Treasury's mission is to maintain a strong economy and create economic and job opportunities by promoting the conditions that enable economic growth and stability at home and abroad, strengthen national security by combating threats and protecting the integrity of the financial system, and manage the U.S. Government’s finances and resources effectively."

So how much has the treasury already given without oversight or congress to Ukraine?

pffft just another 10 billion. It is not like the US treasury is responsible for anything but Ukraine right?

He had led the Ukrainian military since March of 2022. No new head was announced yet.

    Unrelated...but.

French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told Zelensky at an Élysée Palace dinner earlier this month that he must consider peace talks with Moscow, the Journal reported.

According to its source, the newspaper quoted Macron as telling Zelensky that “even mortal enemies like France and Germany had to make peace after World War II.”

Macron told Zelensky “he had been a great war leader, but that he would eventually have to shift into political statesmanship and make difficult decisions,” the newspaper reported.
