Any time you clear a firearm there is a possibility of a discharge. In a store that's sure to bring down a lot of heat on you. Plus, I don't know of any stores that have facilities (e.g. a sand barrel) for clearing guns safely. Rounds do ricochet...How is clearing a gun in a store more dangerous than at home in your bedroom, other than having witnesses to any NDs. To me, the location doesn't make one safer than the other.
Just trying to get a better view of the thought processes going on here.
