I haven't done any trigger work to my CZ455.
    Not too heavy, some creep.
    Usable but annoying.
Should slick up to hunting good after a while.

Having run 9X and 12X at 50 yards..............for target, even half arsing it...........12X.

Set up mine w Leupold Freedom EFR 3-9X but it's for piney slaying.

Must say, my POS fingergroove Ruger w 2-7X is a better overall feel/look/package..........but it shoots like crap.
Get that straightened out and the CZ goes bye bye.

Only advantage is if I want to run subsonic for polite pest control.
But none of my guns (two 10/22 and the CZ) like the subsonic stuff.

    Kinda rules that out.

Can run it in 10/22..........as a straight pull bolt rig LOL

It doesn't take much modification to get a 10/22 to run subs reliably.

Got the 10/22 dialed in last range visit at 50'.
This is what it is doing today on a rest at only 50' (hope to get to Point Blank where I can try 75').
Actually, it got boring until I shot free hand: humbling!
Really love my Nikon Prostaff 3-9 x40 scope, which I'm sure is humorous to the guys who have scopes costing more than my rifle.
Baby steps. The rifle pursuit has been fun.
I've had 2 offers to go to an outdoor range so I can try 50 yards: fun!
I was told a bolt-action was needed for 100 yards, but that would necessitate a more expensive scope: it never ends, does it?

You do not need a bolt action for 100 yards and there isn’t a steadfast rule for you need x amount of magnification for y amount of yards.

Does more magnification make seeing that distance easier? Yes. It also introduces more variables that can create new difficulties. You can have too much scope.

I was only going by what I read here about guys getting bigger magnification than the 3-9 x40 for 100 yards.
Can't wait to experience different scopes and different rifles and different distances.
Last summer was "CZ" 9mm summer; this summer might be .22LR rifle summer.
I didn't realize that a scope would change my life.
I wonder what I'll learn by next summer? :dunno:
The journey is fun: a great distraction.

I hunt squirrels with std vel that I hollow point and eley subsonics. I also hunt them with .17 HMR and mach2. Haven't had a crawl off in a long time. Hunting the ridges in Shawnee Nat'l Forest I've had a few roll away down hill.:dunno:

I'm using a 24x, but I'm trying to shoot sub-one inch groups at 100. It all depends on the size of the target.

My 700 ADL (yeah I know not a rimfire) in .243 win shot WW 80 gr factory ammo into .75" at 100 yards, w the Leupold 4-12X AO set at 12X.
That rifle now wears a boring 3-9X and shoots .75 at 9X.
While the 12X made things a little easier.........it wasn't like night and day diff.
You just gotta pay a little more attention to shoot well with less X.
Type of target can help too.
At 100 yards I like the old black 4 square sighting in targets. Shooting the non black center.

The orange and red targets, different shapes.............I do not like at all.
Either the above type of target, or just sharpie marker dots.....when running scopes.

While shooting my Annie with my 4x12 scope, I was doing mostly sub half inch groups at 50 yards. When I pushed it back to 100 yards for a couple of mags, it was more like inch and a half groups. I could see the targets, but not as clearly as I could see the target at 50 yards. That's why I ended up getting the 24x scope to see if that will allow me to hit MOA or better at 100 yards. Hoping to test that theory a bit this morning.

I've been using the 1" orange stick on dots for awhile now, but I think I'll just be using circles with open centers and maybe a little smaller dot size at 50 yards. A pack of paper and a marker keeps cost down too.

I've used a few different things. I have some caldwell stickers that are florescent orange with an open black shape in the middle (1" I believe) that seem to work well. A florescent orange or pink 1 in sticker with a small black dot in the middle also works well for me. I have some smaller florescent stickers that I want to try as well.

Go on Amazon and search "dot label".....tons of choices from ¼" on up and they're stupid cheap.

I use black 1" for handgun stuff and they work great.

I also have the little black repair stickers that are on the sheet with my 3" splatter targets. The black repair dots measure 0.5" and 0.75".
