I recently aquired a great shooting Romanian G. The forgrip and pistol were no matching to say the least. I also have big hands that didn't quite fit right on the forward grip. So i made this my first project gun. This is what i started with:

I decided to refinish and rework the wood. I started by using a spray on gel stripper. I used a wood file to rework the wood. I opened up the top of the forward grip aswell as notched it with finger grooves for the index and pinky. I also took a little out of the curve. I then sanded the whole thing down. I was trying to figure out what to put on it. I wanted something durable, scratch resistant, and added grip. I decided to go with spay on truck bed liner by Dupli-color. I think it turned out nicely what do you think??
