Here is a Post Office question for the local southsiders and Beech Grove Ingoers. Are the four parking spaces on Main St in front of the BG post office considered post office property? Asking for a friend.

    In the country, hopefully.
A very wise and supposedly very old man around here who will go unnamed unless he wishes to name himself has said he carries into his post office (speedway area?) with the full knowledge of the help behind the counter, I believe she smiles and nods at him.
Point is, ymmv, the locals may not care what the feds say, just like some on here.

I can see being afraid to carry in. I can’t see being afraid to park out front or in their lot.

I was told by my mail person that USPS employees are not allowed to utter the term "Going Postal". I am just the idiot to walk in the doors loudly declaring, "I going postal office!" Un-armed of course.

Not only is it a federal crime to carry into the building, it is a federal crime to have the gun in your car in their parking lot. I was very disappointed in the 10th Circuit when they overturned Bonidy, and was hoping for an appeal to SCOTUS.

    Subchapter D. Section 232.1
    (l) Weapons and explosives. No person while on postal property may
carry firearms, other dangerous or deadly weapons, or explosives, either
openly or concealed, or store the same on postal property, except for
    official purposes.

And "Official purposes" is defined elsewhere. Nothing a private citizen does will qualify.

Was it that sticker that looked like a Beretta 92FS?

Why does everyone want to ban the Beretta 92FS, those stickers only ban the Beretta 92FS.

The difference is that the government will prosecute someone carrying a firearm. It's not right, but it is reality.

    There you go.

More test cases needed. Also, the same as with "legalized marijuana," we need to pass laws saying that Indiana does not recognize the federal no gun zones.

Indiana believes in self defense including the 2A. Our laws should reflect that.

    Shall not be infringed...

We need to learn from the liberal stoners. They have been successful.

What gets me is that my handgun is MUCH more safe in my holster, than it is being left in my vehicle...

Yet, being scared of breaking the law, (and losing my gun rights altogether) I always seem to leave the damn thing in the car.

In my case it was the horribly long trigger pull... ;)
Yeah its no 1911, but its rather nice to shoot in single action..

Besides, I got one that was made in Italy. In the time that Beretta moved the MD factory to TN, they imported a number of desirable made in Italy 92FS.

In full disclosure I have over 40 some various Beretta. I also have an old Chevy with that name :p

Ironically, the federal government can, and will, mail a firearm to someone without an FFL and expect them to come inside the PO to sign for it and pick it up.

Are you talking about C&R eligible firearms or repairs (ie. sent back to the manufacturer)? I guess I'm just looking for an example.
