I guess you forgot how much damage was done to Portland, while the local government still refuses to push the criminals out of the city.
So patriots, whether they meet your personal optics standards or not, decided to improvise riot control tactics, and stopped them from doing further damage to the city all day long.

If anyone takes issue with this, I invite you to call up their local police department and ask them to remove the rioters, see what they say to you.
