I'm gonna ask nicely that you dispense with the personal attacks... because at some point, I'm gonna respond, people are gonna get mad, and this thread locked. So reel it in bro.

    Matthew 5:39 maybe? :dunno:

just because you are invited to a fight doesnt mean you have to accept the invite.

Hummm... The guy that walked into the thread after the point was given and started going on about the intelligence of the commenters might be construed to have started down that path all by himself.

Maybe you should consider the common element in all of those locked threads you're thinking of? It's not me...

Either way, you're right, I should have never taken the bait. I'll let you have the hook back now.

No, Jetta was equating calling the left (Antifa and BLM in this case) communist/socialist was like their claims of Trump being "literally Hitler". The picture shows one sign in particular that is blatantly anti-semitic, so you tell me which is more baseless. Also the article accused the Proud Boys of white supremacist views. Again, which side is carrying the anti-semitic signs?

I didn't take the sign as anti-Semitic, I thought it was meant as a taunt to their boogeyman the white supremacists. But, on second thought it still sort of is.

He compared it to the left using the term for people on the right, not just Trump.

"Jews will replace you" is Anti-Semitic?

I think Jetta is actually right. The left labels those they disagree with Nazis, the right labels those they disagree with Commies. I'm not even sure why there is a debate about that.

I like the term Ben Shapiro uses in his new book, "Disintegrationists." I don't know if he came up with it, but that's how I came across it.

The Disintegrationists aren't interested in finding common ground. They don't accept the idea of a union of states held together by American values and ideals. They believe America is inherently evil, racist, corrupt and flawed. They'd rather tear the country down brick by brick. It doesn't really matter what "-ism" they subscribe to. The ultimate goal is the destruction of America as we know it, founded on the ideals of personal freedom and individual liberty.

ok, so I can wear a KKK hooded robe around as a taunt to white supremacists... got it.

No, I think the intent of the message was purely trolling the WC and Nazis they see behind every bush. I don't think they meant it to be anti-Semitic, even though it was. I'll never defend antifa, just trying to add perspective.

It’s a reference to the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville. During that rally some of the more racist attendees chanted “Jews will not replace us.”

Wait. Are you saying that if he finds one dead victim of communism you'll debate the subject? This is too easily inferred as you implying communism did not kill people? I'd appreciate some clarity.

Hence my comment about enemy propaganda... Then lo and behold, more of it appears.

Where? This conversation seems to have been started by saying it was communist. Then people say, uh, no it wasn't. Then it sort of morphed into this argument of "how dare you say communism isn't bad?" :n00b: So saying something isn't communism is now propaganda? C'mon man. Let's just have an honest discussion. That article wasn't communist. Okay, we've downgraded that to "propaganda". Yeah, I think that argument can be made. Oh. And Communism is bad. There. We all good now?

    Let's review.

That article is straight communism. I hope you washed your eyes out with bleach and burned your device after visiting.

    To which JK replied:

I'm beginning to think that "it's communism / socialism" is the right's counter to left's "literally Hitler" - I.e. just a baseless expression.

It seems reasonable to assume that JK read the article, the article didn't make any claims that could be construed as "communist". And then replied the above. The Left claims that Trump's every action is "literally Hitler" when they're clearly not. Claiming that the article is communism fits that pattern more than it fits what you said he meant. Let's keep straight about what the subject is. It IS the article. "That article is straight communism" was the claim. Later that was modified to "propaganda" which is more reasonable. They used a lot of framing in the article to set the narrative they wanted. So yeah, calling that propaganda is pretty apt.

I didn’t read the article. I assumed they were talking about living people, as almost certainly the body count for Marxist states is well over 100m.
