    "Reliable sources report that the US Navy has sortied two aircraft carrier task forces from Pearl Harbor to counter an expected Japanese attack upon Midway Island . . ."
    You'd probably have sailors tweeting it first.
    Course, back then, other sailors would've chucked them over the side.

    Now, we're more "civilized"
    Nimitz seems to have kept the distribution of OpPlan 29-42 for Midway pretty well controlled, and I don't see anyone from Rochefort's Hypo unit or Eddie Layton springing a leak.

    On the other hand, I'm not so sure about John and Joe Redman back in Washington. They hated Rochefort so much that if there had been a CNN Washington bureau back then . . .
