I think I have to disagree. There's no such thing as collective fault. There is such thing as a collection of individuals being at fault together, but that only includes the subset of individuals who have real culpability. It was not my fault Obama was elected. I did not deserve that government, regardless of having accepted it as the consequences of elections. If a gay couple occupies the white house, that would not be my fault either, because I don't plan to vote for any democrat in this election. So it's not a government I deserve. Now, since I voted for Trump and will likely vote for him again, I do deserve that government. I deserve the mother****er banning bump stocks. So does everyone who voted for Trump. But that's a tradeoff. I could have deserved much worse.
