    The only republican I will vote for is Ron Paul. Otherwise, my vote will go to a third party candidate again.

    With a second term to do as he pleases, and no worries about what policies would threaten re-election, BHO's mask would come off and we'd see his true ideology come to the forefront. That is a truly scary proposition. He's kept it under wraps to a degree so far. Every now and again he says things that allude to his fundamental belief structure, but he would have four unrestricted years to use executive order and UN resolution to do irreparable harm to our republic.

    IMHO anyone that says any of the GOP candidates is worse than Obama is just not paying attention. I believe a lame duck Obama would be even worse than what we have gotten so far, and that is as bad I have ever seen.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    Anyone who votes for that Socialist deserves the chaos that will come with a second term where "O" has nothing to fear from the voters.
    Anyone who would vote for Obama in 2012 was obviously gullible enough to vote for him the first time.

    "YA can't fix stupid" :rolleyes:

    New World Order = New World Order

    Therefore:

    Obama = Romney
    Obama = Perry
    Obama = Cain
    Obama = Gingrich
    Obama = Santorum
    Obama = Bachman
    Obama = Christie
    Obama = Palin
    Obama = Bush Sr.
    Obama = Bush Jr.

    Anyone who doesn't see this is still :koolaid:

    Some of may get butt hurt by this statement but I believe this country is too liberal for a super conservative candidate to win no matter what party he is from.
    Sure is leaning more liberal, but I think a non far right conservative is very electable. Problem with many of the current candidates is their attempts to appeal to both the Tea Party and the general electorate.

    My vote went to Bob Barr in 2008. I didn't like him, but knew Obama would get >50%, so I decided to spend my vote trying to deliver public financing to the most viable 3rd party. This time around, if Perry is nominated, I'll have to vote for the lesser of two evils, trying to ensure that we end up with lame duck Obama, rather than an uber-empowered fiscal-liberal/social-conservative.

    The way I see it:
    • Obama will redistribute my money to people in my community, state, & nation.
    • Perry will redistribute my money to people & bombs in other nations.
    No matter what Keynes said...blowing up a wedding party in Afghanistan doesn't make my local economy any better...

    Now...let us all hope that the R's nominate a digestible choice.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Edit:

    Ron Paul:
    • Fiscal Conservative: +
    • Social Liberal: +
    Gary Johnson:
    • Fiscal Conservative: +
    • Social Liberal: +
    Barack Obama:
    • Fiscal Conservative: -
    • Social Liberal: +
    Rick Perry:
    • Fiscal Conservative: -
    • Social Liberal: -

    Obama's closer to what I want than Perry, Romney, & Santorum...

    Perry is just another flavor of Obama, like adding a twist of lime. I would be hard pressed to ever consider voting for him.

    Paul is really the only viable option there is to try and get the country back on track, IMO. He isn't perfect, and I do not agree with him 100% on everything, but I see him as the only agreeable choice.

    I'd vote for the man made global warming believer Gingrich before Perry and I think Gingrich is taking up valuable oxygen another candidate should be using in these "debates".

    I'd vote for whomever Daniels chose to run with...I'd sure as hell vote for Mitch if he were to run. That guy has done more good for Indiana than we'll ever understand.

    Rick Perry may be an extreme conservative but we need someone to bring the country back in line...I'm all for helping out those that need help but you have to want to help yourself not just want to stand in line for a handout. Obama and the socialist left don't seem to understand that we can't just keep giving handouts to everyone who thinks they 'deserve' one. If you want help get off your ass and be a productive member of society...if you're putting forth an effort then I don't mind putting bread on your table or taking care of your sick children. But if your sitting on your ass watching Jerry Springer all day while I feed you and your children then I have a problem with that.

    No way I will vote for Perry. Daniels tows the party line. Consistently. Backing perry is just more of the same.

    It is nice that some of you are finally seeing his true colors.

    Using this logic & I like it BTW. We all know that the car will contine down the road to where the cliff ends and eventually go over. So is it not better than to just go ahead and rev the engine full speed ahead over the cliff NOW so that we have to deal with the issues and not leave the mess up to our children and grandkids?

    There it is. Why should we shirk our responsibility onto our children like our parents and grandparents did to us?

    If we can't TURN AROUND, we should just speed up.

    Unless of course you are a POS coward who would rather slough it off onto your children.

    ^^ This.

    If Perry is nominated, Obama has my vote. :puke:

    At least with an Obama reelection, we'd have gridlock, since we're almost certain to get a Republican-tilted house/senate.

    And this kind of thinking, is EXACTLY how we got to spending billions & billions on the "recovery" ......with nothing to show for it!
    Except Obama-care.... :xmad:

    Obama has already proven he is unafraid to use 'executive order' to screw the American people......

    With a Congress that would support him and a "we beat the liberals and Democrats, YAY US!" constituency I believe Perry (and others) would gleefully authoritarianize the nation with the people's blessing. At least if Obama wins all the republicans will be screaming about needing a Congress that will oppose him and might vote enough of their own statists in to keep the legislative gridlock in place.
