I do wonder about KG, but it would not surprise me to find he's pretty busy with rehab.
Full hip replacement is no small cut!
Howdy BD. Going on 8 weeks now since the surgery. Have had a number of setbacks due to dealing with other health issues while trying to rehab. Ended up back in the hospital for another ten days after I was initially discharged a day after the surgery due to renal failure, couldn't pee and a slight touch of pneumonia, so it's been difficult trying to overcome all that nonsense.

I did get a new specialist added to my growing list of providers. A nephrologist (fancy name for kidney Dr,)

Other than that, I go back to see the ortho surgeon on Thurs for an 8-week assessment on the post hip surgery progress or lack thereof. I already know I'm kind of behind where I should be right now.

This old carcass has been taking a beating but I ain't giving up. Anyway, there's the update for you all and I just popped in to say high to everyone and let y'all know that I have'nt forgotten the way back to the OSUT home with my friends here. Probably starting to be more like an old folk's home with all these ailments. :):

Yeah I'm peeing again. Still having issues with my kidneys not functioning at full capacity. Taking meds and what not to help with kidney and bladder function.

When I went back to the hospital for that 10-day extended stay they put in a catheter to drain my bladder to keep it from bursting until I could start peeing again on my own. That was fun.

It actually sprinkled for a minute when I first came back out here after my nap, but I'm gonna try and mow the back anyhow. I don't want to wait any longer. Hopefully I'll be able to do the front after work.

Thanks for the update. Hoping your new X-rays look good!

8 weeks is still like the first couple of rungs on this climb. With some of your other concerns, might be your hip healing has left the country, staying in the blood for more urgent needs.
Either way, it sounds to me like giving in is not in the playbook for you!

Hope you find my silly post about great grandmas, instead of playing '40s Swing music in the lobby of the Old Folks Home, they are playing '80s heavy metal in the future. :):

    Seriously ...
    Great news overall.
Godspeed for you on this scary trip!
