Just drove from crown point to Chesterton and the only slick spot was my driveway, roads are just wet now

    Darn.
I was going to call the bar manager, and say since my work is caught up, I wasn't going in.

And now I just remembered we need to do the beer and liquor orders today.
So... I guess it doesn't matter.

This retired life is busier than I imagined.

Shouldn't the beer and liquor orders fall under the responsibility of the BAR manager?

My observation of retirement is that you reduce your responsibilities in one area only to find that there are many other responsibilities that need to be handled, new tasks in new areas of the same place magically appear and the work continues. You are lucky if the time commitment doesn't grow!

Hydroplaning was the only problem coming north on 41 today, where the snow on the edges is holding in the water.

    .
Yup. Let the flooding begin now. Rain and 40s the next few days. Over a week ago Deep River was at the top of the banks. Gonna be spilling over by the end of this week for sure

I replaced our 7 year old sump pump this weekend. Not taking any chances with it raining most of this week. Combined with the melting snow. Lots of water that has go somewhere. Going to be a sloppy mess.

Saw some dripping coming over our gutters. I cleaned them a couple times this fall but we have the damn bradford pears that don't drop their leaves until end of december. Think I need to hop up and make sure the downspouts are clear again.
