Wednesday morning and the "Blizzard of 67" I was 13 and remember it well.

Blizzard of 67, I was seven. Maybe six. I do remember my dad digging a path out the front door to the street. The walls of the path were taller than I. Dad was working in the Mills at the time, and had gotten stuck in his car about a mile from our Dyer home, and walked the rest of the way.

I was born later then that but have heard stories of how deep the snow was. Talk about a kids wonderland. I bet the sledding off calumet ave and 94 was awesome.

Speaking of nature, I was at a match this morning when out of nowhere, a doe and two fawns trotted onto the range about 150 yards out and starting wandering across. The RO called a cease fire before there were any casualties and there was no venison for lunch.
