Me too.Tuesday morning and a early start for work with a delivery in Chiraq.
Yeah. I was up with Daisy when it hit. At about 1:20, someone set off 5 or 6 M-80's or whatever they are and they shook the neighborhood. Then everything settled down and I thought I could finally go to bed. Was literally getting into bed when the thunder started, and Daisy got wound up all over again.Quite the storm at 1:30 a.m. 1 1/2" inches of needed liquid fell here. Also shot down any rogue fireworks shows.
Yeah, but it may not have helped as much as hard as it was raining. A lot just ran off.Quite the storm at 1:30 a.m. 1 1/2" inches of needed liquid fell here. Also shot down any rogue fireworks shows.

Go out today and you won’t notice that fever!Oh, and I somehow managed to catch the woo flu crud. Started with a kink in my neck on Thursday and Friday, then 103° temperature on Saturday. A lot of joint pain and lack of energy.
Like has been mentioned concerning this topic, I went to the express Clinic, and they told me to go home and get better, and go to the emergency room if I feel like I'm dying.
American medicine is so f*****.
They can be great fun! I got my kids building karts and mini-bikes. Just make sure your kiddo learns to keep his hands firmly gripping the wheel if it starts to go over, that'll prevent another broken arm. glad ya'll got it running rightSaturday, a friend dropped off a go kart his grandkids are done using that hasn't run in a couple of years. It's a 2 seater that is big enough for me at 6'3" and over 200 lbs. to drive comfortably. The last time it ran, my friends late-teen grandson turned it on its side and sustained a nasty displaced forearm fracture....
...so clearly, this is something my youngest son simply needs to have. Anyhoo, we drained the old fuel, did an oil change, a final drive oil change, put a new battery in it (I had one from a lawn tractor) and got it started on Sunday. It would idle smooth, but not take throttle under load. I did a thorough carb cleaning yesterday...and finally, at about 8:30pm, figured out that the air filter was clogged with oil from being upended.
I took the air filter out (new one on order), and though it starts hard without the filter (no manual choke), I finally got it going.....and it's been a while since I drove a go kart, but as the sun set, I took it for a test run.....I totally see how my friend's son flipped it. It's only 150ccs, 9hp, but with the CVT, it rips.
Look for my obit in the coming weeks.
As an aside, my wife knows the history of this kart....absolutely no push back. This is what nearly 30 years of happy marriage looks like.
So you're saying she is expecting you to flip it?Saturday, a friend dropped off a go kart his grandkids are done using that hasn't run in a couple of years.
