I don't know about airguns.

But, about outdoor ranges...
Kingbury has a small fee. And a Range Officer runs it. Calls cease fires and such.
Winimac has no fee. And the Range Officer sits back and just makes sure nobody's being crazy.

Sometimes we get together for a Meet & Eat, or a Meet & Shoot.
It would be posted in the INGO events area.
And it usually gets talked about here.

Larcat, there are a couple other ranges too, Jasper Polaski (probably misspelled). Not sure on air rifle ranges.

Sweet, good to know. Do any of the DNR ranges have electrical at the shotgun area do you know? I know Jasper Pulaski doesn't, called the a bit ago.

Per field target -- I'm probably gunna get at least on air rifle and field target just sounds fun to try.

Kingsbury and Winnamac both are covered right, but Pulaski isn't? Any other big differences other than what Actaeon said below about the range officer's SOP?

Shoot Point Blank is an indoor range near the mall.

I noticed that Ryobi makes a 40v battery inverter that would probably give enough power to run a flinger. If you are already a 40v user it could be an option.

Otherwise it would be pretty expensive to start.

We picked up the limit, 10lbs at stracks 2 weeks ago when they were $6.99/lb

Hey CTC, have you tried the crablegs yet? I steamed a 3-lb pkg yesterday for my Bday dinner and they smelled kind of fishy, but we ate them anyway because we didn't want to let it ruin the evening. I was violently ill this morning. Took the packaging back to Stracks (Crown Point store by the fairgrounds) and got a refund.
