Apparently you need to reset the Battery Maintenance System on new Fords after you change the battery. The tool less hack online does not work. It also does not correct the tailgate not opening as he said as the guy on the phone said. Off to the dealership 1st thing tomorrow.

I have to admit that I love all the fancy bells and whistles on the modern cars. But damn. There is a serious downside to all that computerized stuff. While it makes life so convenient and easy in so many ways it is a huge P.I.T.A. when something that should be a simple job at home becomes a nightmare that requires google searches, phone calls and trips to the dealership.

Jedi dont want no tech in jedi vehicle.
There are ways to disable all that crap via module tools one can buy and make the car act like the "international" version that strips most of that tech away.
