Lost power for about 10 minutes down here just before midnight.

We used to lose power for days at a time, until NIPSCO completely rebuilt our nearby substation. The last long on we had was a raccoon on a transformer. It was shorting it out every time the breakers reset. It took NIPSCO a couple of hours to get out and remove it.

The last one was a really long one, bad T storm a couple of weeks ago it took nearly a minute to reset.

My dad I s in Cedar Lake(Olthof Homes subdivision on the N. side of 141st, W. of Parrish) he must have been out because he texted asking if I was out(mind you, I'm in Gary)

Sad part is the Hyundai driver's insurance will probably still call it their fault.

She's doing good! Thanks for asking.

The surgery went well. Brought her home late afternoon yesterday. Pretty out of it yesterday, but come home from work today and she's doing much better. Has some bounce to her step at times and was chatting with the neighborhood dogs. She even greeted me as usual when I got home
