"ATTN: Porter County - and Portage specifically. The Portage City Council will have the first reading of a proposed ordinance to ban home-based FFLs at next council meeting. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 2, at 6:30 PM in the Woodland Park field house."

Isn't it up to the atf after an inspection of said home to determine if you have the proper security in place. Does this also apply to c&r holders since they could get qualified firearms sent to the home.

    Isn't this against Indiana Law?
I thought only the State of Indiana could create gun laws regulating sale of firearms.
    Preemption.

But the only way you can get the state involved is to sue.

Kirk is involved in a case where his county was trying to make government buildings GFZ's by designating a janitor's closet into a "court room".

I wrote to the state AG about the Lake County Government Center making the entire building a GFZ, whereas it used to be just the courts area and they replied that I would have to sue.

regulation of firearms, ammunition, and accessories is prohibited.

    ... may not regulate
    (3) commerce in and taxation of firearms, firearm ammunition, and firearm accessories.

Maybe someone should tell Portage they are opening up a **** ton of fines.

It is, but I was just told was they are looking at it as running a business out of a home. But Avon, Mary Kay etc.. are exempt?

I believe they can use ZONING ordinances to regulate gun shops (and other types of businesses) out of residential areas and that would not likely be regulated/restricted under IC 35-47-11

Well, Guy Relford just offered it up on Facebook.
Are they regulating out of residential areas, or all of Portage?

It tastes absolutely disgusting. It tricks your senses. It's light and fluffy and pink, and it tastes like the worst artificial smokey pork flavor you've ever tasted.
