The whole house generator has been deployed twice in the last couple weeks. 1st time was for several hours last week when that wind came through, and then again I believe Sunday, for a couple hours. The first time was no big deal, because we didn't get much rain, but this last time, ground was saturated and the sump working over-time. It's earned it's cost already, in peace of mind. Also was able to help the new neighbor by plugging in his sump pump to keep his house dry. I know they're expensive, but after 25 years worrying, and having to be there to run the portable, I highly recommend it, if you can, and have the need.

Yesterday, the FIL got a case of hives at the local hospital and they would not transport him. Luckily hives is a 24 hour thing. They are on the move, he finally got a room now. His insurance said he had to go to that hospital in De Moines. He is checked in now as of this evening. More tests tomorrow, possibly surgery Friday.

Has testing tomorrow on an artery to make sure he won't stroke during surgery. Still no surgery scheduled.

Honestly about 99% of my issue with snow is other people who don't even have the requisite skills to operate even on dry roads coming out and ****ing **** up for those of us who know what we're doing.

Larry, if this goes on too much longer, you should probably be checked for a blockage. In fact, maybe it's time.

    I saw my Hematologist yesterday.
He told me to continue milk of magnesia for a week. To attempt to disolve it.
If that doesn't work, then I'm to call my GI.

Then I told him I didn't need pain med.
    That was a bit optimistic.
