Well, the docs signed off on me going to work.
The work doc put a 48 hour limit on my weekly hours, to see how things go. It's for a month, then I have to see the work doc again.

I acquired one of these heaters and installed it in my basement. It works really well and it only has a AA battery to light the pilot. It is switchable between LP and NG.

You can buy them for either NG or Propane, I have seen both from various sources. I presume parts for each are available, so it is theoretically switchable. Probably need to swap out a regulator and gas nozzles? That said, what is theoretically possible and that which is practical may be very different. In a total SHTF situation it may be practical to swap to an alternate fuel. In a short term local power failure, perhaps not so.

While I don’t have a horse in this particular race, this seems to be an incredibly STUPID regulation. How are the BATF ever going to know whether it’s been complied with?

I've never used one. Don't know who has one. But damn. Apparently nobody really knows who has them. So how is it going to get enforced? And the estimates of numbers sold range from roughly a quarter million to a half million of these things. Sure, this is gonna work well???

How can you burn fuel and not create hazardous exhaust? I'm sure it's safe. I just thought there was always carbon monoxide when you burn anything?

It has a different gas input and pilot for LP. The one not in use is plugged. My detectors have not gone off.
