After Macy's bought Marshall Field's and they changed the recipes, I was sorely disappointed into their pot pie offerings now and when she wanted my honest opinion, frankly said I would have been just as satisfied with a Marie Calender. Lifelong employee and I were both crushed. I gave the next year another chance. Haven't been back.Frozen yes. I’ve tried to make home made a couple times in a 10 inch cast iron skillet and I still like the frozen ones better.
Blasphemy! At least they have crust all the way round.I didn't like the Marie Calender.
It’s not a pot pie if they do not have crust at the bottom. They stopped putting crust on the bottom. I like the crust.

I was thinking too, that's just weird. Plate O' goo. It’s not a pot pie if they do not have crust at the bottom.
Right?!!!I was thinking too, that's just weird. Plate O' goo.
When I was a kid my mom kept a freezer full of Banquet pot pies. I would sometimes get one after school.
I have tried Marie Calendar's and they S***.
Here is my wife's, don't get any on your face or your tongue will slap you to death.
4 Aldi deep dish pie crusts
1 rotisserie chicken deboned and cut up
2 cans mixed veg
2 cans cream of chicken
2 cans potato soup
2 tbl butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix and heat ingredients in pot on range top.
Fill 2 pie crusts with heated mixture and use other two for top crust. make slits in top to release steam.
Put one in the oven at 350 about 30 - 45 minutes until crust is the color you like.
Wrap the second on plastic wrap and freeze until the next time.

I must be spoiled. The wife makes everything from scratch. Lord help me if I bring home a frozen xyz. I only do it to crank her up or make a point.
