Here comes the Memorial Day travel gas price gouging!
Well we have a free market based on supply and demand.

The alternatives are far less attractive.

Gas in soft-socialist England right now is roughly $12/gallon.

Its higher in many other nations. And cars are taxed as high as 60% in nations like Denmark.

Cheaper in hard left Venezuela but very few people can afford toilet paper or bread.

So I'm OK with paying roughly $3/gallon and keeping some semblance of freedom to be able to better my life.

    Glad to be of service.
Shall I arrange another flat for you? This time in an even worse area?

Jedi makes everywhere he goes into a "worse" area

$12 a gallon!! da quueen has lost her mind!!!

The standard of living in England is one of the highest in Europe.

And while that is true, it is also true that the standard of living in England is BELOW the standard of living in Mississippi, the poorest of these United States.

Seems to me we have it so well here we complain about our state of affairs within the bubble of ignorance of how others are forced to live. Tourists go to Europe to see the great sites, but what they really see are a bunch of OLD THINGS that were built before the current demise of Europe.

We hear about their free healthcare but forget that they pay, on average, a 20% VALUE ADDED TAX that is hidden in the price of their goods. We forget about their massive unemployment rate, which has frequently topped 30% in some nations. Bankrupt economies that are in worse shape than our own.

And when you go buy things, I bought a half-dozen eggs in London for $4 a few years ago. A nice dress shirt (off the rack, not a custom job) in Spain cost me $150. $5 for a small bottle of Pepsi. I know people who fly to New York and/or Chicago with an empty suitcase, buy clothes in Michigan Ave stores, and save enough $$$ for the return airfare.

Gotta pay for the wedding somehow.

There is a guy that has a commercial on 560am that says he can close a va loan in 14 days in-house.

Flagpole is out of the middle of the yard. Ended up renting a 65lb demo hammer from Sunbelt and I'm glad I did. It made pretty quick work of it, but I was still dripping sweat by the end. Anything smaller might have handled better, but would have taken a lot more time. Time to get some dirt in the hole, and cover with grass.

What to take to the range this Saturday for our annual pre- Indy 500 range day at the Decatur Co. Conservation Club... Get to pick up my WWII Walther PP, so a couple other .32acp's (that are still virgins to me) should probably tag along. Decisions, decisions

After this ammo mule collects on the trip home, who is getting it from me for the Youth Shoot? d.kaufman? Chef Larry? You're close.
