Well, apparently lost power a little this weekend. Nothing too long because I didn't notice. And Monday is upon us. This weekend seemed way shorter than the rest.

It was just a slight "glitch". Just enough to get all the clocks.

Not sure what the current law is, but about 20 years ago I was forced to pay "backpay" for lunches to employees who skipped their lunch and punched out early. It was not an Indiana law but rather a NLRB ruling.

I just don't want to take lunch

This is one of my pet peeves. We used to be able to work through an unpaid lunch, clock it and leave .5 hour early. Why do I want to hang out at work for an extra half-hour and not get paid?
Now I have to jump through hoops and scrutiny to get it approved.
We get 2 15 minutes breaks that are paid. Plenty of time to eat something.

I have to take an hour unpaid and I hate it. What a ****ing waste to eat my Lean Cuisine in 15 minutes and play solitaire on my phone for 45 minutes.

When we got taken over by corpo they said hour lunches. We said you won't have any employees here.

So we got our 30 mins.

I get unpaid lunch. If nothing's happening, great, I eat when I feel like it.
If equipment is going down for me to work on, then I adjust and eat when I can, the equipment takes priority.
But, that kinda sucks when working a 16 hour shift, and everything goes to hell.
I had about 15 minutes to scarf down a can of soup, and that was it for 16 hours.



Well, for a non-working guy, I was busy today.
Doctor's appointment.
Sickness & Accident paperwork filled out by me and the doc. Doc's staff faxed it in because I'm almost at the 21 day limit.
Several hour long Union meeting, because Friday is the last day on our contract. Ugh.
