Doggy bag(s) for the rest of us?Ya...not...tolerable with the wind. People just now showing up are going to have a waterfall. We have season passes so we can come and go as we please. Sitting at Shoreline Brewery in the a/c with an ice cold oatmeal stout (Singing Sands) and a tenderloin in route.
Had a great day with the kids at Deep River Water Park.
It's stupid hot by the lake where I'm at, hot ladles full of molten iron don't help.
No AC in our engines, so I would only get AC in the shanty. Some genius had the bright idea to cast all three holes on the furnace so I've spent zero time in the shanty.
The money is good.... but this heat... makes me wonder sometimes.
Yesterday, you guys were really blowing the flame out of flare stack. Sounded like a jet engine.
All the furnaces must have been running full tilt.
That "jet engine" sound was the pop off valve from the Co-Gen. It was going off all damn day too.
My shanty is about 25 yards from that pop off.
Good thing I didn't spend much time in there.
I am really glad that you guys make good moner there. The older I get the worse the heat beats me down. I might have made it there had I started in my thirties, but I wouldn't make it a day now.
HOT is HOT.It's a dry heat.
