Well...
If you play your cards right, you could be running the Tippmann Arms Booth next time.
Any extra cash laying around?

My guess is they were Mennonite, Amish are pretty against guns, like the Quakers I know, but every sect has different rules and the young sometimes push the limits just like the English young do.BTW, did anyone else see the three Amish guys in the exhibit hall on Friday? That was unexpected.
I figured they were churning butter for the popcornMy guess is they were Mennonite, Amish are pretty against guns, like the Quakers I know, but every sect has different rules and the young sometimes push the limits just like the English young do.

Amish certainly own firearms, muzzle-loaders and bows most men are avid deer and turkey hunters. I have lived around both Amish and Mennonites for most of my life in Southern Maryland.
Just got home another full day at the convention. The crowds were weighed down it was so much easier to navigate I really enjoyed today. Upgraded my life membership to endowment membership. Picked up a few t-shirts for free and got some other swag. My son really really cleaned up on swag though. Guys were pulling him into their booth and giving them stuff off of there personal collections of patches and stuff. One guy had a tactical plate carrier that was covered in patches and he just started ripping them off and handing them to my son. I was kind of jealous lol! Got some good last minute deals on some NRA silver rounds. Made a huge list of future purchases. All in all a great day!
Isn't that great.
Kids really come in handy sometimes. Reminds me of Halloween when my girls were younger. I would tell them to go up and bring me back all kinds of goodies. They would make it a competition on who brings daddy the most candy. I sure miss how dumb they were back then.

I have to show this photo though, not for the Thompson's, but for the background photo. It is 3 St. Louis police officers demonstrating how to search a suspect. Note the officer holding the Thompson on his colleague, bolt cocked, finger on trigger, and it appears the mag is loaded!
Thats awesome. One day im going to actually have a plan and see everything. I didn't this year.Speaking of kids, there was swag galore at the youth event ballroom. After we completed the booth scavenger hunt both my kids got a raffle ticket and they were giving out some killer prizes. I saw at least five families win $250 gift cards from Palmetto State Armory. They raffled off more than a dozen Cordova coolers, at least 10 Daisy BB guns, Henry single shot rifles, soft rifle cases, fleece jackets, hats, NRA mugs, shooting glasses, ear pro. One lucky family even won a Dillion XL650 press. It was insane.
This doesn't even count the dozens and dozens of t-shirts, hats, and padded kid sized tactical gloves they threw out to the kids.
My daughter won a Henry rifle case and my son won a voucher for a pair of Rocky boots worth up to $300. He's about to turn 4 and his feet grow a size up every few months, so I may just order the largest youth size they have and wait for him to grow into them.
Honestly they were giving away thousands and thousands of dollars worth of stuff.
Wow you scored BIG. Everyone must not have wanted to take stuff home.View attachment 76683I was only there for about 3 1/2 hours and just picked up stuff as I passed by various booths and I managed this haul. Only one shirt, a nice wicking fabric from Anderson Manufacturing but hey, it was all free and now I’ve got lots more decals for my gun safes. I put them on magnetic backing so they’re not permanently installed.
